Ambient have launched a Kickstarter campaign for Death Inc., a real-time strategy, god-game, business sim that harks back to classic games such as Dungeon Keeper and Syndicate.
Guide Grim T. Livingstone, freelance Reaper, through 1660’s England as he spreads fear, loathing and most importantly, the bubonic plague.
Ambient Studios need to raise £300,000 before the campaign finishes to fund their strategy game of plague, pestilence and profit, which is expected to be released this Autumn. As always with Kickstarter campaigns, interested gamers can pledge varying amounts of money to the game, with varying rewards from a simple Early Bird discount, all the way through to becoming a King or Queen in the game. Head over to the Death Inc. Kickstarter page and check out the different levels of pledges.
Ambient was formed by a group of friends from Media Molecule, Lionhead and Criterion. The company now comprises 11 experienced developers with pedigrees including LittleBigPlanet, the Fable franchise, Burnout and Need For Speed.
