Nomad Games have teamed up with mobile games service provider and publisher Thumbstar Games to bring the classic Talisman board game from Games Workshop to iOS and Android devices.
Talisman the board game is 30 years young this year and Nomad Games is thrilled to have been given the opportunity to transport the exciting fantasy world of Talisman onto PC, and now tablets, faithfully recreating one of the best loved board games. Game Workshop’s Talisman board game is world renowned and much loved by its dedicated audience and Thumbstar Games are also thrilled to be partnered with such a thriving global brand.
While multiplayer gameplay will be available in upcoming editions, Talisman Prologue HD focuses on creating narrative depth through its single-player campaigns. The story unfolds as the player rolls dice to move around the outer, middle, and inner regions of the board and each space will require the player to draw a card or resolve a special effect, leading your hero to complete quests, encounter monsters, discover friendly followers, and gather treasure.
The date for the global launch of Talisman Prologue HD for iOS and Android tablet devices is set to be announced shortly.
COO Martin Kitney said, “Thumbstar has secured a new and exciting opportunity. We’re thrilled to be working with Nomad Games and Games Workshop in bringing Talisman to a whole new audience. This title is perfectly matched for play on tablet devices and is a fantastic game and universe in a popular genre.”
Don Whiteford of Nomad Games added, “We are delighted to be working with Thumbstar, a company that gives us instant and noteworthy access to channels, service providers, OEM partners and territories, all driven by first-class publishing services. Talisman is a great brand and we are confident that Thumbstar is the right partner for us and Games Workshop.”
