Posted by GG Goblin On April - 10 - 2013

Creative Assembly have gone above and beyond with their screenshot recreating the Battle of Teutoburg Forest in Total War: Rome II. Coming in at a massive 30000 x 9785 pixels, you will need a mighty large screen to appreciate it in full.

We have a smaller version of the screenshot for you to enjoy below, but to enjoy the world’s biggest Total War screenshot as it is meant to be enjoyed, head over to wiki.totalwar.com/w/Panorama.

In 9AD, the Roman general Publius Quinctilius Varus and the 17th, 18th and 19th legions were ambushed in Germania. 15,000 Romans walked into Teutoburg Forest. Not one walked out. Varus’ defeat was every bit as stunning as Scipio’s victory over Carthage and it shook the empire to its very foundations.

Total War: Rome II is due out later this year.
