The Annual Israeli Game development day returns to Tel-aviv on April 29th for the third time. This year bigger than ever and with greater content and more guests from abroad than any of the previous years.
Among presenting companies are Dragonplay, Flurry, Tapjoy, Everplay, Sidekick, Majesco, Iconicfuture, and PlayLab. The conference is being independently produced by Oded Sharon, Executive Producer at Dragonplay and CEO of Corbomite Games, a local independent game studio.
“At daytime, I work on a game called Gun N’ Blade which we just announced at Dragonplay, a game publisher with some of the world’s top grossing Android apps” said Oded Sharon, Israeli Game Development Day Founder and organizer, “Then at night, I work on my own independent games like Star Shipping (that has just launched on the new OUYA console), through my company Corbomite Games, then even later at night, I organize this event. It’s a lot of work, but very rewarding to create an event visited by hundreds of game developers both local and from around the world.”
Past speakers in the event include Chris Taylor from Gas Powered Games (recently sold to Wargaming), Dan Scherlis formerly CEO of Turbine, Julien Fourgeaud from Rovio (Angry Birds), Carl Callewaert from Unity, Sam Glassenberg from the award winning company Funtactix, Duncin Curtis from Halfbrick (Fruit Ninja, Jetpack Joyride), Lloyd Melnick from Playdom, Guy Bendov from Sidekick, Sean Kauppinen from IDE Agency, and many more.
Oded Sharon, the conference organizer is also well known in the game industry as the guy behind “The Fellowship of Game Developer Parties”, a facebook group encouraging networking within the game industry through parties at game developer conferences around the world.
The Conference takes place in Shenkar school for Engineering and Design on April 29th 2013.
