Rising Star Games have announced a renewed partnership with Japanese developer IDEA FACTORY and will be bringing two titles to PAL territories, the first of which is Hakuoki: Memories of the Shinsengumi, coming to 3DS.
IDEA FACTORY games are known for their complexity and difficulty, and this combination of its unique take on game development and Rising Star Games’ mantra of bringing top quality Japanese gaming to western markets maintains the brand faithfulness of both companies. The first title to be released in this deal is Hakuoki: Memories of the Shinsengumi, a romantic visual novel for the Nintendo 3DS. By enjoying the story and following a clever twist of consequences, players will be able to help guide Chizuru, the heroine of the tale, down a path of romance or into a murky world of corruption.
“We are delighted to be working with IDEA FACTORY again. Their reputation is well deserved and the games we have signed from them are the perfect example of fresh and exciting Japanese creativity that has made Rising Star Games so successful over the years,” said Martin Defries, managing director of Rising Star Games.
“It is a pleasure for us to work with such a talented partner. With their deep understanding of the Japanese culture and proven track record on releasing ambitious and yet very successful titles, we are convinced that thanks to Rising Star Games, both titles will reach their full potential in Europe.” said Damien Urvois, IDEA FACTORY’s business development manager.
