Sony have announced that the US will be able to enjoy a new game streaming service from this Summer, titled PlayStation Now, initially on PS4, PS3, Vita and other Sony devices, but with plans to spread beyond the Sony family. No word yet on if the service will be coming to Europe.
With a foundation based on the Gaikai streaming service that Sony purchased back in 2012, gamers will be able to individually rent older titles to play on their chosen hardware, or purchase a subscription which will presumably allow access to the full catalogue. The closed beta for the PlayStation Now service will kick off in the US on PS3 later this month, with a full roll out expected for this Summer. European PlayStation gamers will all have to hold their breath to see if the service will be coming across the sea – fingers crossed!
