The first title to come from the newly formed independent studio Hydra Interactive Entertainment is Upside-Down Dimensions, an action RPG based in an Origami world that will hopefully be coming to nearly all platforms.
Formed by experienced ex-Pyro Studios, Enigma Productions and Revistronic leads, Hydra Interactive has been set up with clear goals to create unique, innovative and high quality multi-platform games.
Daniel Parente, CEO of Hydra Interactive comments, “It is an exciting time to be an Indie Developer. I’ve been involved with larger traditional studios controlled by VCs for the last few years and it limits your creativity as a studio and pushes you into commercial decisions that you don’t always agree with.“
“Hydra will be pushing innovative ideas, and Upside-Down Dimensions will be a showcase of our creative intentions,” continues Parente.
Upside-Down Dimensions is a highly visual game that combines action, hack n slash, RPG, stealth, platform and puzzles elements to create a unique and amazing gameplay experience. It is a classic story of good verses evil interlaced with a forbidden love angle.
A peaceful and colourful paper world is about to be torn apart. Hordes of evil are preparing to make their last stand, in one final battle to bring ruin to this paper kingdom. All that stands in their way are two heroes, who must embark on an epic journey to defeat evil once and for all.
The game will feature 20 beautifully crafted levels, co-op multiplayer and will make use of all next generation second screen devices.
