The collection of four animated movies and a 2D side-scrolling action game from Crispy’s and Bandai Namco is available now in stores exclusively on PS3.
Ranko Tsukigime’s Longest Day offers an interactive facet to the highly acclaimed anime movie compilation SHORT PEACE.
SHORT PEACE features four amazing short movies:
- A FAREWELL TO WEAPONS, directed by Hajime Katoki, tells the story of a tour-de-force saga of men battling robotic tanks in apocalyptic Tokyo.
- COMBUSTIBLE, directed by Katshuhiro Otomo (the creator of Steamboy and Akira), is a spectacular tale of love, honor and firefighting in ancient Japan.
- GAMBO, directed by Hiroaki Ando, sets a mysterious white bear defending the royal family from the predations of a red demon.
- POSSESSIONS, nominated for the 2014 Academy Awards and directed by Shuhei Morita, tells the story of a lone traveller who is confronted by unusual spirits in an abandoned shrine.
Along with those high-end movies, Ranko Tsukigime’s Longest Day will offer to all the players an amazingly fast and psychedelic game directed by the famed Suda51, Yohei Kataoka and their teams! Ranko Tsukigime’s Longest Day tells the story of the eponymous hero of the game, the only child of the underground Tsukigime Enterprise. She is an average girl by day and a deadly assassin by night. She will have to fight for survival when an enemy organization threatens her and her friends’ lives. Players will put their reflexes and quick judgment to the test in this fast-paced action game with unique visuals and effects.
The game will draw players deeper into the schoolgirl/assassin’s thrilling life, and serves as a video game tie-in to Katsuhiro Otomo’s four-part anime compilation film project, SHORT PEACE.
“For the first time in video game history, BANDAI NAMCO Games Europe is pleased to bring to players this tremendous cross-media experience. We hope that players will enjoy discovering the unique and mesmerizing universe of SHORT PEACE as much as the directors behind this gigantic project enjoyed creating it.” said Herve Hoerdt, Vice President of IP Strategy at BANDAI NAMCO Games Europe. “SHORT PEACE is the proof that only the video game medium can generate experiences very deep yet exciting at the same time.”
