Chris Kempt, MD of UK indie developer Kempt Games, last night appeared on the BBC’s Dragons’ Den TV show in the UK. Following 11 years as a work-for hire studio, Kempt went on the show to pitch for a £250k investment in self-published games Stunt Guy and Stunt Gal as well as the studio as a whole.
Following a dramatic entrance, it’s safe to say that Chris’ pitch received a mixed response. In spite of Chris not slaying the Dragons’ for their cash, he still considers the experience worthwhile.
Chris Kempt, MD and Founder, Kempt, said:
“I wasn’t convinced that I’d get the investment from them – I knew the Dragons tend to be fairly risk averse and our pitch was a bit of a punt, but the experience was really beneficial in highlighting the kind of things that potential investors might ask.”
Stunt Gal has just launched on the App Store for 69p
