The grand finale of the main scenario of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn arrives today with the release of Patch 2.55 – Before the Fall – available now for Windows PC, PS4, and PS4.
In Patch 2.55 the Gates of Judgement, Ishgard’s outermost defences, now come under attack – can the Scions of the Seventh Dawn rally the Eorzean Alliance as the city’s survival hangs in the balance?
A brazen attack takes place at the Gates of Judgement. The outermost layer of protection has been dispelled, allowing the mighty dragon Vishap to land upon the far end of the Steps of Faith. Take up position alongside the Temple Knights, and defend the structure from the ravaging forces of the Horde!
To mark the arrival of Patch 2.55, and the ending of the FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn main scenario, Producer / Director Naoki Yoshida, sends a message to fans and players.

Looking ahead to the future of, Yoshida said – “FFXIV, which started as A Realm Reborn, has evolved and grown massively in the last year and a half. These dramatic changes to the game have also been a fun and exciting experience. Even if you are away from FINAL FANTASY XIV at the moment, please enjoy the last of A Realm Reborn and look forward to a new beginning in Heavensward – which will bring the start of a new scenario and a huge volume of new content including new jobs, maps and raids, an increase of level cap, the implementation of Free Company contents and much more.
