Lumino City Coming To iOS

Posted by GG Goblin On September - 23 - 2015

State of Play Games have announced that their handmade puzzle adventure Lumino City will soon be coming to the App Store for iOS devices. Lumino City was released for PC and Mac late last year.

Playing as the young girl Lumi, after welcoming home her Grandad who has urgent news you are swiftly catapulted into an epic journey and a hunt to find him after his dramatic kidnap. Find out more about her Grandad’s curious life along the way. Could he be more than he first appears?

Three years in the making, Lumino City’s gorgeous environment was constructed by hand as a ten-foot high model city, with each motor and light wired up individually to bring the scenes to luminous life. Through this wonderful world weaves a clever, charming, and puzzling adventure―explore the city and use ingenuity to piece together all sorts of fascinating mechanisms to help the people who live there.

What makes Lumino City so special?

- An entirely handmade city. Everything you see on screen was made using paper, cardboard and glue, miniature lights and motors. The models were filmed to create the game world, capturing every frame of its beauty.

- A uniquely beautiful world to explore. Venture beyond the city gates to discover gardens in the sky, boats marooned high on an immense waterwheel, and houses dug precariously into cliffs. Winner of a BAFTA award for Visual Achievement, Lumino City’s magnificently photographed environment looks and feels unlike anything else out there.

- Awe-inspiring puzzles. Play with real objects within each scene. Manipulate fascinating mechanisms, vintage computers, and even entire buildings! Control windmills in the clouds, provide power to a house using only lemons, and work out how to win at the most puzzling pinball table ever created.

- A perfect experience for touch devices. Optimised to take advantage of the touchscreen and with tactile puzzles made from real materials, you’ll feel like you’re diving into a miniature world of physical playthings.
